  • Off- Road/CrossTriathlon National Championship - 1500m swim, 29k mountain bike, 10k run
  • Off-Road/Cross Duathlon National Championship - 5k run, 29k mountain bike, 10k run
  • Off-Road/Cross Triathlon Sprint National Championship- 750m swim, 12k mountain bike, 5k run
  • Off-Road/Cross Duathlon Sprint National Championship - 2.5k run, 12k mountain bike, 5k run

All athletes must be a US citizen OR a US national (someone who has resided in the US for three consecutive years and has not competed for their country of citizenship in the prior year. Athletes who have competed for their country of citizenship in the last year may request a waiver. Contact teamusa@usatriathlon.org for more information.

Entry:

Off-Road/Cross Triathlon and Duathlon National Championships

  • $150 until 12/31
  • $165 from 1/1-3/31
  • $180 from 4/1-4/18

Off-Road/Cross Triathlon and Duathlon Sprint National Championships

  • $100 until 12/31
  • $115 from 1/1-3/31
  • $130 from 4/1-4/18

Your race entry includes race-day land access, an event t-shirt*, sponsor swag, and fully stocked aid stations with water, Gatorade, and snacks. Post-race food will be provided for all racers, and beer will be available to participants age 21 and over.

*Entries received by April 5 are guaranteed an event t-shirt in the requested size. Registrations received after the deadline will receive a shirt while supplies last. Please register early if an event t-shirt is important to you.

Age Groups:

An athlete’s race age is the age of the athlete on December 31, 2026.

Standard-Distance Events

World Triathlon Championship qualifying age groups are organized in five-year increments as follows: 17–19, 20–24, 25–29, and continuing through the oldest athlete’s applicable five-year age group. Divisions are offered for male, female, and non-binary athletes.

  • Youth Participation: At the discretion of the Host, athletes 16 years of age and younger may be permitted to participate in standard-distance events.

  • Eligibility Limitation: Athletes younger than 17 are not eligible for National Championship awards or World Triathlon Championship qualification.

Sprint-Distance Events

Sprint-distance age groups are organized in five-year increments as follows: 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, and continuing through the oldest athlete’s applicable five-year age group. Divisions are offered for male, female, and non-binary athletes.

  • Youth Participation: At the discretion of the Host, athletes 14 years of age and younger may be permitted to participate in sprint-distance events.

  • Eligibility Limitation: Athletes younger than 15 are not eligible for National Championship awards.

Clydesdale & Athena Divisions

The following age group increments apply:

  • Clydesdale:

    • 39 and under

    • 40–59

    • 60+

  • Athena:

    • 39 and under

    • 40–54

    • 55+

Schedule:

Friday, 4/17

  • Course open all day for riding, running, and swimming
  • 4:30-6:00 PM - Onsite registration and packet pickup

Saturday, 4/18

  • 6:15-7:40 AM - Onsite registration and packet pickup
  • 6:15-8:00 AM - Transition area open
  • 7:40 AM - National anthem, mandatory pre-race briefing (triathlon & duathlon)
  • 8:00 AM - Race start (triathlon & duathlon)
  • 8:20 AM - mandatory pre-race briefing (sprint triathlon & duathlon) at start area
  • 8:30 AM - Race start (sprint triathlon & duathlon)
  • 12:00 PM - Awards and raffle for all races (may be adjusted based on finishing times)
